Canadian International School of Hong Kong is a not-for-profit school and its running costs are met from the tuition fees. Please read this section carefully as it details the fees charged during the application and assessment stage, as well as enrollment and annual tuition fees. Fees are reviewed annually and set by the school's Board of Governors in late spring for the following year.

Early Years 1 and Early Years 2 (half day): $115,900
Prep to Grade 3: $157,300

A deposit of $20,000 is required for new students at the time of acceptance and for re-enrolment of returning students. Registration will only be completed after the school has received the deposit and all outstanding tuition fee and other fees.
^Students enrolled in the school on or before January 31, 2011 will be given a $7,000 annual credit to pay against their Upper School tuition fees. This credit will be applied each year for the duration of a student's enrolment in the Upper School, provided they have continuously attended the school since January 31, 2011. Total tuition fee includes Technology Fee ($1,500) which is applicable to students in Grade 4 and above, the IB fee ($6,000), and text book fee for students in Grades 11-12 ($2,000).
Annual tuition fees are invoiced in two installments. Full amounts of the annual Capital Levy (if applicable) and the Entry Fee (for new students) amounting to $12,500 are invoiced together with the first term tuition fee.
Students admitted to CDNIS must either pay an Annual Capital Levy or be covered by a Debenture. The Annual Capital Levy is a non-refundable fee of $36,000. Please note that the Annual Capital Levy may be reviewed and adjusted from time to time. For more information about debentures, please contact the Admissions Office.
Other education related costs on top of tuition may include but are not limited to: compulsory school uniforms, some field trips and student activities, lunches (optional), school bus (optional), some educational resources and materials and the 1-to-1 iPad and laptop purchase programme for Grade 1 to 3 and Grade 4 to 12 students, respectively.
Application and Assessment Fees
Applications, processing and preliminary document assessment: $2,350
Application Fee covers the following services: Online/paper application processing, and review and screening of application information and documents.
Formal assessment and testing: $1,650
Assessment Fee covers the following services: Standardized test and interview materials based on Canadian curriculum standard, and one-on-one or group admission assessment and interview.
Application Fee (Discounted) for those who were on the waiting list the year prior to the year of entry: $1,100
Please note these fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
The school will not reserve a seat for a student if all the relevant fees have not been paid in full before the due date. Students will not be allowed to attend classes if tuition fees are not paid. The school reserves rights to revise the above fees at any time at its sole discretion. Tuition fees are refundable on a pro-rated basis (based on a 10-month school year) only if the school receives 3 months' written notice of withdrawal. Please note that three-months notice is exclusive of July and first half of August.
