At CDNIS, learning extends beyond the classroom into a vibrant world of clubs, activities, leadership experiences and community connections. With over 70 clubs to choose from, students are encouraged to explore passions, develop new skills and build confidence - while forming friendships and memories that last a lifetime.

Driven by our belief in whole-child education, these experiences promote curiosity, creativity, belonging and personal growth. Students of all ages have opportunities to take charge, collaborate, compete, perform, serve, and lead within our dynamic school community.

A Community of Belonging: The House System

Every student and staff member at CDNIS belongs to one of four Houses: Bear, Raven, Orca or Mountain Lion. This tradition strengthens community spirit and provides students with leadership opportunities, camaraderie and healthy competition. Throughout the year, Houses compete in sports events, friendly games and service initiatives that build character and connection.

What Makes CDNIS Clubs Stand Out

CDNIS places a strong emphasis on student agency, offering numerous leadership opportunities across clubs, councils and the House system. Students take an active role in organising events, shaping club agendas, leading initiatives and mentoring younger peers. These student-led experiences empower them to develop confidence, responsibility, and ownership over their school life.

Breadth and Depth of Choice

Upper School students can choose from more than 70 activities, offering exceptional breadth and depth across performing arts, sports, STEAM, cultural interests, academic competitions, advocacy and leisure pursuits. This extensive range ensures that every student can find opportunities that match their passions, broaden their skills, and support their personal and academic growth.

Showcasing Achievement and Celebrating Clubs

CDNIS is committed to recognising and celebrating the achievements of its student clubs. Across the school, students’ creativity, leadership, service and initiative are highlighted through House events, performances, showcases and club-led activities. By shining a light on these accomplishments, CDNIS ensures that excellence in all forms - not only athletics - is valued and celebrated as an essential part of student life.
