What recruitment platforms does CDNIS use?
Teaching positions are advertised through TES–Schrole and Search Associates. Other roles are listed directly through the CDNIS careers page and LinkedIn.
How does faculty recruitment work at CDNIS?
Teaching positions are advertised through TES–Schrole, with recruitment typically beginning in mid‑October for roles starting the following August. Vacancies are also posted on Search Associates, and CDNIS regularly attends Search Associates Recruitment Fairs in Hong Kong and Bangkok. All teaching applications must be submitted via TES–Schrole. Search Associates candidates may submit an expression of interest for advertised roles to our Human Resources Department. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and early applications are encouraged.
What are the requirements for faculty positions?
Successful candidates typically:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Possess recognised teaching qualifications (BEd, PGCE, or PGDE)
- Have at least two years’ relevant teaching experience in an accredited school
- Demonstrate effective use of technology in teaching and learning
- Work well in a collaborative, team‑based environment
- IB training and experience are an asset
What are the IB training expectations for new faculty?
All new faculty at CDNIS are required to complete appropriate IB training for the programme(s) they teach within 12 months of commencing employment. Ongoing IB professional learning is encouraged and supported as part of the school’s commitment to high-quality teaching and learning.
What professional learning opportunities are available at CDNIS?
Professional learning at CDNIS is aligned with individual Professional Learning Plans and broader school priorities. Staff are encouraged to pursue professional interests, collaborate with colleagues, and apply learning in ways that positively impact student outcomes. Opportunities include workshops, conferences, in-school learning, and the Faculty in Residence programme, which brings leading educators to work with staff and students. CDNIS educators are also regularly invited to present at conferences locally and internationally, and the school hosts a range of professional events.
