Canadian International School of Hong Kong (CDNIS) is registered as a private international school under the Hong Kong Education Ordinance and as a non-profit organisation with the Inland Revenue Department. Governance at CDNIS operates through a two-tier structure - the Council of Members and the Board of Governors - who partner with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure strong oversight and long-term planning. The Board also works closely with the Head of School and Senior Administration Team, who manage the school’s day-to-day operations.

Dr. Wil Chan

Head of School

Dr. Wil Chan is a highly experienced educator, born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area to immigrant parents.

Dr. Chan joined Hong Kong International School in 1984 as a math and science teacher followed by his appointment to associate principal. He then served as principal of the Roseville Area School in Minnesota, before returning to HKIS as the middle school principal and later chief principal at Hong Kong Baptist University affiliated Wong Kam Fai Secondary and Primary School. Retiring from the Baptist School, he was the interim Lower School principal at Canadian International School of Hong Kong before founding Kendall International Preschool.

 

Dr. Chan studied science at the University of California, Berkeley and he also holds a PhD from Washington State University in the area of leadership culture and change management. He earned his principal and superintendent certifications from Washington State and principal’s certification from Minnesota State as well as Hong Kong. Along with his school leadership roles, he has taught at the University of St. Thomas, Hong Kong Open University and in the Department of Education Studies at Hong Kong Baptist University where he teaches master’s level courses in leadership, curriculum and assessment as well as the Hong Kong principal’s certification programme.

Ms. Penny Pan

Chinese Academy Principal

Penny Pan is a seasoned educator having taught Chinese at international schools and universities in Australia, China and Hong Kong for more than 25 years. During her teaching career, Penny has taught at international students from K-12 within IB, American, British, Canadian, Australian, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong and China Curriculum frameworks. She also served as curriculum coordinator for Utahloy International School of Guangzhou, Hong Kong Academy and Hong Kong International School before she joining Canadian International School of Hong Kong 12 years ago as the Director of Chinese Studies. Over the years, she has been responsible for teacher professional development, curriculum design and alignments, teaching strategies, teacher leadership and exchange programmes. She is a frequent conference and workshop presenter and has also organized several Chinese language conferences in the Asian region. She is a regular visiting team member for CIS (Council of International Schools) and WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges) and has been a member of accreditation visiting teams for more than 10 years. Penny holds a Bachelor of Education degree from Australia and a Master's degree in curriculum and teaching from the United States. She has travelled to many places around the world, and loves to explore and experience different cultures.

Ms. Christina Wu

Chinese Academy Vice Principal

Christina Wu holds a BA in Chinese Language and Literature, an MA in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language from Nanjing Normal University, an MA in International Education from the University of Bath, and a PGDE from the University of Hong Kong.  

 

She taught at an IB international school in mainland China for eight years before joining CDNIS in 2010, where she has served as PYP and MYP Chinese Teacher, Team Leader, and Chinese Curriculum Coordinator. She is an active IB Workshop Leader, Consultant, and Site Visitor, working with schools across Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.  

 

These experiences have deepened her commitment to responsive, student‑centred practice, where collaboration and inquiry are thoughtfully shaped around each learner’s interests and needs.

Dr. Karen Lindner

Lower School Principal

Dr. Karen Lindner is originally from Melbourne, Australia, where she completed her Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Teaching degrees at the University of Melbourne before joining the teaching profession as a Prep teacher. Karen has worked as a teacher and administrator in government, independent and international schools in Australia and China. Prior to joining CDNIS, Dr. Lindner was the elementary school vice principal at Western Academy of Beijing. Karen is a devoted life-long learner herself who holds a Master of Education and a Doctor of Philosophy degree. Her research has been focused on the critical areas of school-home communication in a child's preparatory year of school and the motivations, expectations, and experiences of international students in Australian schools. Through her academic pursuits and professional experiences, Karen has developed a deep appreciation for the significance of fostering positive relationships to support students of all ages along their educational journey.

Mr. Nick Staffa

Lower School Vice Principal, Academics

From New York, Nick Staffa graduated from Columbia University with a Master of Arts in school building leadership, and a bachelor's degree in asian studies focused on linguistics from SUNY Stony Brook University. He also holds TEFL certification from the University of Toronto.
 
A passionate bilingual educator, Nick taught Chinese in public school in the USA, was the head of Chinese at Seoul Foreign School in Korea, and previously taught Lower School Chinese at CDNIS as a language B leader.
 
Nick is returning to Hong Kong after 5 years in Taiwan serving as a bilingual homeroom teacher, PYP coordinator, and as the primary school director at I-Shou International School. He brings back his deep love of languages and learning.

Ms. Patty Lee

Lower School Vice Principal, Student Life

Born in New York City and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Patty has called Hong Kong home for the past 20 years. As a young student, Patty had the good fortune of having exceptional teachers and mentors, who encouraged curiosity and instilled in her a lifelong love of learning. Patty earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Columbia College, Columbia University and a Master of Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education in Administration, Planning and Social Policy. Before joining CDNIS, Patty served as Assistant Principal at the ISF Academy Primary school, where she gained extensive experience working in bilingual and multicultural learning environments. Patty believes learning should promote both innovation and independence and is passionate about helping students achieve their personal best. Patty comes from a family of sports enthusiasts and enjoys following the NBA, women’s soccer and collegiate tennis.

Mr. Patrick Boekhoud

Acting Upper School Co-Principal

Patrick is originally from Ontario, Canada. He received his bachelor’s degree (Honours) from York University, and his teaching qualification from the University of Auckland, New Zealand. Patrick earned his master’s in educational leadership and management from Royal Roads University, which also granted him an IB certificate in leadership practice and an advanced IB certificate in leadership research. Patrick began his international teaching career in New Zealand, before taking up a teaching position in Beijing, followed by a position in Shenzhen, where he stayed for almost 10 years, becoming the school’s IB DP Coordinator through IB authorization and eventually Head of Secondary. Most recently, Patrick served as Head of School at Lakecrest Independent School, an IB World School in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada. Patrick is a passionate IB educator with a deep appreciation of the educational experience an IB Continuum World School provides.

Mr. Charles Wu

Acting Upper School Co-Principal

Charles Wu has over 30 years of experience as an educator, driven by a commitment to student-centred learning and holistic development. With a BComm from UBC, a PGDE from HKU, and an MEd from USQ, he emphasizes recognizing each student's unique potential and fostering global mindedness. Throughout his career, Charles has advocated for nurturing spaces where students excel academically and grow as well-rounded individuals.
 
Charles comes to CDNIS after serving 16 years at Diocesan Boys’ School, including 13 years as the IB Diploma Coordinator where he helped build its highly successful programme from the ground up by strategically assembling a strong team of teachers and optimizing resources. His extensive experience with the International Baccalaureate Organization as a Programme Leader, Workshop Leader, and School Visiting Team Member enhances his skills in curriculum development and cross-cultural communication. These roles provide insights into best practices, facilitate networking with global educators, and foster innovative teaching approaches. Charles believes education extends beyond the classroom, and his leadership in Tennis and Ski programmes, along with his personal athletic pursuits, underscores the importance of physical activity and teamwork as complements to academic rigour.

With a passion for leadership, Jeremy excels at inspiring others to pursue their interests through positive relationships and meaningful action. Having previously taught humanities and been the Head of Grade 11 at CDNIS, he is honoured to transition into a leadership role within the school. Ms. Adrienne Michetti

Upper School Vice Principal, Transition Years

Adrienne is an experienced educator with nearly 30 years of work across formal and informal learning contexts. She has taught a wide range of subjects, from early childhood music to college‑level writing, and has worked in international schools in the UK, Qatar, Vietnam, Singapore, and Trinidad and Tobago, in addition to her career in Canada. Her professional interests include social‑emotional learning, compassionate leadership, and mindfulness in adolescent education. Adrienne holds a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education from The University of British Columbia, as well as a master’s degree in digital media design for learning from New York University. She joins CDNIS from the International School of Port of Spain, where she served as the PK–12 Assistant Principal.

Ms. Emily Pong

Director of Admissions

Emily Pong was born, raised and received her education in Hong Kong. Before joining CDNIS in 1993, Ms. Pong spent a decade working in the commercial field, holding positions at various Finance and Architectural firms, as well as her family business. When Ms. Pong first joined CDNIS, she directed the school’s Office Administration and Admissions Departments. As Director of Admissions, Ms. Pong works collaboratively with various stakeholders in meeting the school’s well-defined admissions targets. Her book “Sharing with You” was published in 2016 and served to commemorate the school’s great success.

Ms. Belinda Ng

Director of Curriculum

Belinda has 25 years of educational experience in Hong Kong, working with students from early childhood to secondary. She is passionate about nurturing curiosity, supporting student well-being, and creating meaningful learning experiences that help every student thrive. Belinda holds a Bachelor of Education from the University of Saskatchewan and a Master of Education from The University of Hong Kong. She joins CDNIS from St. Paul’s Co-educational College, where she held a range of roles over the past 17 years, including IB Diploma Programme Coordinator, Head of Form and English Teacher.

Dr. Alyssa Villarreal

Director of Professional Growth & Development

Dr. Alyssa Villarreal holds a Doctor of Education in curriculum and instructional leadership from the University of Memphis. She brings over 25 years of experience in education, with expertise in curriculum, faculty development and instructional leadership. Prior to joining CDNIS, she was the Academic Dean at Hutchison School, where she provided strategic leadership for the schoolwide academic programme. Alyssa is the co-founder of the globally recognised TELL Project and has led schoolwide professional learning and accreditation processes.

Dr. Chantelle Jackson

Director of University Counselling

Dr. Chantelle Jackson-Boothby brings over 20 years of experience in guiding students through the university application process, having worked in higher education and secondary schools across Hong Kong, China, the UK, and the US. She is passionate about helping students and families navigate the complexities of university admissions, believing that understanding each student's unique aptitudes, interests, and achievements is essential for building strong, supportive relationships.
 
 
Chantelle began her career as an undergraduate admissions advisor and graduate academic advisor at the University of California, Irvine. She later transitioned to the role of head academic advisor at a large public high school in Southern California, before becoming a university counsellor at a private independent school. In 2018 she moved to London, England, where she continued her work with students and families and most recently served as the Managing Director of A-List Education UK, advising students on applications to universities in the UK, US, Canada, and Europe.
 
 
In addition to her counselling work, Chantelle actively contributes to the field of university admissions. She serves on Admissions Practices Committees for both the International Association for College Admission Counseling (International ACAC) and the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC). She is also a mentor for new counsellors with EARCOS Leadership Mentoring and an Accreditation Evaluator for the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). Since 2012, she has been an external application admissions reader for UCLA.
 
 
Chantelle earned her EdD in Educational Leadership from the University of Southern California, focusing on academic advising and student development services for online learners at US universities. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Southern California and a master’s degree in multicultural education from California State University, Dominguez Hills.

Ms. Anne Drouet

Director of Visual & Performing Arts

Anne Drouet is a versatile arts educator, multidisciplinary practitioner, and artistic director who enjoys blending diverse creative forms to inspire and engage young people. Trained as a music educator in the UK, she began her career at London's prestigious BRIT School before transitioning into international education. With over 25 years of teaching experience including 16 years within the IB framework (PYP, MYP, DP) and as a DP Music Examine, Anne currently serves as the Director of Visual and Performing Arts at the Canadian International School of Hong Kong. She leads a heart-centred arts programme that builds community, empowers individuals, and cultivates empathy and creativity.
 
Anne’s students have showcased their talents on renowned international stages such as the Shanghai Formula One Grand Prix Opening Ceremony, London’s Royal Festival Hall, and New York’s Carnegie Hall. As an Honorary Life Member and Executive Director of the ISTA Academy in Hong Kong, hosted by CDNIS, she champions creative collaboration and social awareness through the visual and performing arts. Mr. Godwin Hwa is a Canadian citizen from Montreal and obtained his Bachelor of Science and Master in Engineering degrees from Cornell University. Ms. Cora Chan

Vice Chair

Ms. Cora Chan is a parent at CDNIS and has three children in the Lower School and Upper School. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from McGill University, is an LLB graduate from the University of London and a MA in Educational Counselling from the Education University of Hong Kong.
Ms. Chan is Vice Chair of Skywalker Group, a Family Office with presence in Hong Kong and Singapore which engages in sustainable investment and owns a diverse business portfolio spanning traditional and new economy. Ms. Chan was a member of the CDNIS Academic & Pastoral Committee during the 2014-2015 academic year. She also devotes her time to various other organizations in Hong Kong including Methodist Institutes and also a Member of the Panel of Film Censorship Advisers of the HKSAR. Ms. Chan is fluent in English, Cantonese, Mandarin and intermediate level French. Ms. Isabella Ho has been a parent at CDNIS for 13 years, is an alumni parent and has a child in the Upper School. Mr. Jeffrey Ng

Vice Chair

Mr. Jeffrey Ng is Group Chief Communications Officer at Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited, heading the Exchange’s corporate affairs function. Previously, he spent 13 years as a Reporter and Editor at Dow Jones and The Wall Street Journal. He joined Dow Jones after graduating from Georgetown University with a degree in International Relations. While working full time, Mr. Ng earned a Juris Doctor Law degree at The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2012 and was awarded the Postgraduate Certificate in Laws from The University of Hong Kong in 2014. Mr. Ng is a CDNIS alumnus, having graduated as class valedictorian in 2000. He was the founding President of the Student Council. He is actively involved with CDNIS. He co-founded the CDNIS Alumni Association in 2003 and has held various executive roles, including President. He chairs the Audit Committee and sits on the Governance Committee. Mr. Ng enjoys spending time with his wife, Catherine, and their two children.

Mr. Paul Chong

Mr. Paul Chong is the founder of the Southa Group of Companies back in 1979 in Hong Kong, a major electrical and mechanical engineering contractor in the local market. He holds a degree in mechanical engineering and is an acclaimed leader in the industry. He has been very active in public service and sits/sat in various government and statutory bodies including Vocational Training Council, Construction Industry Council, Employees' Retraining Board, BEAM Society, Green Building Council, Construction Workers Registration Board, Zero Carbon Building, Hong Kong Metropolitan University, E&M Services Training Board, Energy Advisory Board. He is also a Life President of the Hong Kong Federation of E&M Contractors. He has been awarded by the Hong Kong Government with a Medal of Honour (MH) and Bronze Bauhinia Star (BBS) for his contribution. Mr. Chong sits on the Governance Committee.

Mr. Philip Lam served as the Director of Finance of The University of Hong Kong for over 20 years until his retirement on June 30, 2012. After retirement, he was appointed as a Senior Advisor to the Vice-Chancellor in financial, investment and fundraising matters for two years until June 30, 2014. He is currently an Executive Director of two publicly listed companies and also a Non Executive Director of another company of the Chinney Group. Mr. Lam is a Fellow of the UK Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is also an Associate Member of the UK Chartered Governance Institute, and UK Chartered Institute of Bankers. He also served as a member of the Board of Review of the Inland Revenue Department for three years from 1995-1998 and was a member of the Establishment and Finance Committee of the Prince Philip Dental Hospital for 20 years.

Ms. Janet Lee is a CDNIS alumni parent and has been with the school for 18 years. She chairs the Admissions & Scholarship Committee and sits on the Development, Finance & Administration, Governance, Parent Liaison, and Ad-Hoc Strategic Committees. Born, raised, and educated in Malaysia, Ms. Lee moved to Hong Kong in 1990 and began her career in the search industry with two leading, publicly listed Global Executive Search firms. She is the Managing Partner of a global executive search firm specializing in Management and C-Suite search, Leadership Advisory across industry sectors and functional disciplines. Outside of her work, Ms. Lee enjoys travelling and is an advocate and active volunteer for the education of underprivileged children.

Ir Prof. Sunny Lee has over 40 years of experience in business and technology management. Ir Prof. Lee is Chairman of the Board of Hong Kong Applied Science & Technology Research Institute. He also serves as an Independent Non-Executive Director of MTR Corporation Limited, BOC Hong Kong (Holdings) Limited, China Telecom Corporation Limited and SUNeVision Holdings Limited. He is a member of the Cornell University Council, and serves on the School Committee (Governing Board) of Diocesan Boys’ School. Ir Prof. Lee is a former Vice President at City University of Hong Kong, Executive Director, IT for The Hong Kong Jockey Club and Chief Information Officer of Hong Kong and China Gas Limited. He has also held key positions in the financial, management consulting and manufacturing industries in Hong Kong and the US. Ir Prof. Lee is a graduate of Cornell University where he studied for both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering. In 2025, Ir Prof Lee was appointed Professor of Practice by The Hong Kong Management Association.

Ms. Pauline Leung

Ms. Pauline Leung was a partner of Capital Market Services Group of PricewaterhouseCoopers (“PwC”). She has more than 30 years of experience in providing assurance and business advisory services. Throughout her years with PwC, Ms. Leung has gained extensive experience in assisting companies with initial public offerings (“IPO”) and other capital market transactions. She has a wide client base in a variety of industries such as education, retail and consumer products, and energy and mining. Ms. Leung graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor's degree (First Class Honours) in Business Administration. She is a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (“ACCA”). Ms. Andrea Mui

Ms. Andrea Mui is an Executive Director at UBS Investment Bank, where she leads the North Asia institutional client business of UBS Private Funds Group. Ms. Mui has over 12 years of experience in finance and investment banking. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Columbia College of Columbia University in the City of New York.
Ms. Mui is an alumna of CDNIS before attending high school at Choate Rosemary Hall in the US. She was named co-valedictorian of class of 2004 (CDNIS Middle School). She was invited to join and participate in the CDNIS Strategic Visioning Committee in 2015, and currently sits on the Finance & Administration Committee.

Mr. Evan Thorpe

Mr. Evan Thorpe is a graduate of CDNIS as a member of the class of 2000. He is a venture capital investor with global VC firm SixThirty Ventures where he leads investments for Asia-Pacific in FinTech, InsurTech, Digital Health and Information Security. During his time at CDNIS, he was a founding member of the first Student Council and served as its President in 1999. Upon graduation, Mr. Thorpe was a recipient of the Ontario Scholar Award and the Millennium History Award. He currently serves CDNIS as chair of the Premises Committee, and serves as a member of the Audit, Development, and Parent Liaison Committees. Mr. Thorpe holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Princeton University where he also studied abroad in China at Beijing Normal University. He currently serves as a member of Princeton University’s Alumni Council Executive Committee. He and his wife have two children attending CDNIS.

Mrs. Carrie Willis is a well-respected public administrator with a wealth of experience in various government bureaus and departments, as well as public bodies in Hong Kong. Mr. Kwan-In Li (Representing Council of Members)

Mr. Kwan-In Li was one of the 12 Members who founded CDNIS in 1991 and had served on the Board in its early years. He rejoined the Board as an ex-officio Governor representing the Members since 2013 and currently sits on the Admissions & Scholarship, Finance & Administration and Governance Committees. Born and raised in Hong Kong, Mr. Li obtained his Commerce degree in Montreal in 1979, qualified as a Chartered Accountant in Vancouver in 1985 and became a fellow member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants in 2000. Mr. Li has worked with international accounting firms (admitted as a partner of Ernst & Young Canada in 1991), garment manufacturing groups and a printing manufacturing group in Hong Kong and is currently a director of a Hong Kong private investment holding company. Mr. Li and his wife, Eleanor, have a daughter and a son.

Mr. Dennis Chan

Mr. Dennis Chan is the Director and CEO of Standard Corporate Advisory Limited. Prior to that, Mr. Chan had been a director and chief financial officer of various listed companies in Hong Kong, Singapore and the USA. He has served the Board of CDNIS and was a past Vice Chair of the Board as well as a Chair of the F&A Committee. In addition to this, he has also served as a member of Chinese Studies Committee.
Mr. Chan is a graduate of the John Molson School of Business of Concordia University and holds a Graduate diploma in Public Accountancy from McGill University. Dr. Raymond Chan was the Founder of Integrated Display Technology Limited (IDT) established in 1977. He was the Chairman and CEO of IDT International Ltd, a publicly listed company in the Hong Kong Stock Exchange since 1988. He is presently the Chairman and CEO of Top Harvest Investment Limited.
Dr. Chan was conferred a degree of Doctor of Business Administration by the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He is also a Justice of Peace appointed by the HKSAR Government. He is currently a Honorary Court Member and Fellow of Hong Kong Polytechnic University, a Board Member of CDNIS, a Council Member of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, a Board of Governors of Harrow International School (Appi Japan), a Council Member of The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. Dr. Chan actively participates in and sponsors industrial, educational, cultural and art programmes, as well as charitable activities.

Dr. Anthony Chow

Dr. Anthony Chow is a solicitor and currently the Senior Consultant of the law firm Guantao & Chow Solicitors and Notaries.
Dr. Chow served as the President of the Law Society of Hong Kong between 1997 and 2000. Over the 20 years he has served the Hong Kong community in many capacities, including Chairman of The Hong Kong Jockey Club, Member of the Exchange Fund Advisory Committee of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority. He served as a Member of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference between 2002 and 2022.
Dr. Chow was appointed a Justice of the Peace in 1998 and awarded the Silver Bauhinia Star by the Government of HKSAR in 2003.
He was admitted to Honorary Fellowship of The Hong Kong Institute of Education in March 2010, Honorary Fellowship of King’s College London in 2013, Doctor of Social Sciences, honoris causa of Hong Kong Metropolitan University (formerly The Open University of Hong Kong) in 2018 and Doctor of Laws honoris causa of The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2021.

Mr. Roger Chow

Mr. Roger Chow is currently the Executive Director of SCS Consulting Ltd, responsible for property development, hotel investment and consulting services in Mainland China. Prior to this, Mr. Chow served as Executive Director of Cathay International Group for 12 years. Cathay International specializes in investment projects with offices in London and Hong Kong with representative offices in Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen. Before that, Mr. Chow served in many financial investment companies, including as General Manager of Standard Chartered Bank HK Trustee Ltd., VP and Branch Manager of Charles Schwab Discount Broker, VP of Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith and Branch Manager of Yorkshire Trust.
Mr. Chow is a Founding Member of CDNIS and served as a Founding Governor for a number of years. Currently, Mr. Chow is a Member of CDNIS.

Mr. Felix Fong

Mr. Felix Fong received his engineering physics degree from McMaster University where he majored in Biomedical engineering and Nuclear engineering where he was a first class honour and dean’s honour student upon graduation. He received his Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto in 1978. He practiced banking law in Toronto and was a partner of McMillan law firm before moving back to Hong Kong in 1987 and founding the firm of Robert Lee and Fong (now King & Wood Mallesons). He is a member of the Law Societies of Hong Kong, Ontario, and England & Wales and a China appointed Attesting Officer and a mediator under Hong Kong Mediation Accreditation Association Limited.

He was the Chairman of Chinese Canadian Association in Hong Kong when CDNIS was founded during his tenure. He is a founding member of CDNIS. He is a Justice of the Peace and was awarded the Bronze Bauhinia Star.
Mr. Fong is actively involved in community services having sat on many government committees including Chairman of Food Safety Environmental Hygiene, Liquors Licencing Board, Member of Town Planning Board, Country Park, Broadcasting Authority, Film Development Council, Communications Authority, Betting Commission and Eye Hospital etc.
He is an Adjunct Professor of the law faculty of Dr. Sun Yat San (Zhong Shan) University in China.

Mr. Andy Hung

Mr. Andy Hung graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato in June 1973, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant in Canada as well as a member of Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Mr. Hung has worked for an international accounting firm for over 10 years and has extensive experiences in finance and corporate management in various industries. His experiences include: as a Group Controller of Gold Peak Industries (Holdings) Limited; a Director of Finance at LKK Group Limited; the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director of Willas-Array Electronics (Holdings) Limited; a Senior Consultant of Vestate Group Holdings Limited (formerly known as Walker Group Holdings Limited); as well as the Chief Financial Officer of Analogue Holdings Ltd.
Mr. Hung was a past Chair and member of the Chinese Studies Committee. He is currently a member of the Audit Committee.

Mrs. Cassandra Ip

Mrs. Cassandra Ip was the founding Chairperson of the Canadian International School Parents’ Association. Working actively side by side with parents to support or initiate CDNIS events since day one in 1991, she also compiled and edited the first yearbook single-handedly to make the premiere year complete. Years later, she promoted the CDNIS Alumni Association’s formation.
In 1992, Cassandra brought Canadian scouting to CDNIS, making learning and playing genuinely Canadian. She founded the 1st Hong Kong Canadian Scout Group, and assumed the Group Commissioner’s role later. In over 30 years, more than 3,000 students have enjoyed the scouting adventure. The Scouts were proud of the honour of serving Canadian Governor General Ramon Hnatyshyn on his State Visit in 1994. Likewise, they also served several Canadian Prime Ministers, namely Paul Martin, Stephen Harper and Justin Trudeau on their various official visits.
Cassandra took English at the University of Hong Kong. She is a mother of three. She enjoys working with children and their parents to create a better world.

Mr. Spencer Lee

Mr. Spencer Lee graduated from The University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Science (first class honours) degree and Bachelor of Laws degree. He obtained his Postgraduate Certificate in Laws from The University of Hong Kong.
Mr. Lee was admitted to practice as a solicitor by the High Court of Hong Kong in 1981 and was later appointed a Notary Public. He founded Messrs. Spencer Lee & Co. Solicitors in 1993 before retiring in 2018.

Mr. Lee was a Founding Member and Former Director of The University of British Columbia Alumni Association (Hong Kong) Limited (1981), Founding Member and former Chairman of Chinese Canadian Association (HK) Limited (1988-89, 2003-16) and Founding Member and Governor of Canadian International School of Hong Kong Limited (1991-92, 2001-12, 2015-16).
After his return to the Board in 2001, he started to prepare and write a book about the beginning of the school which was recently published by the Board in 2021.

Mr. Vincent Lee

Mr. Vincent Marshall Lee Kwan Ho, BBS, Officer of the Order of the Crown (Belgium), MSc, FCPA is a Founding Member of the Canadian International School of Hong Kong and was the Chairman of the School Management Council from 2006 to 2008. The Leo Tung Hai Lee and Vincent Lee Foundation, chaired by Mr. Lee, is the single largest individual donor of Canadian International School of Hong Kong. He has contributed substantial efforts towards education developments in Hong Kong and China. He was a Member of the Council of The Chinese University of Hong Kong from 2016 to May 2022.
Mr. Lee is at present a Member of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). He was a Deputy of the 13th National People’s Congress of PRC between March 2018 and March 2023. He was a Standing Committee Member of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. He is the Chairman of the Tung Tai Group which was established in 1952 by the late Dr The Hon Leo Lee, GBM. He has over 40 years of extensive experience in the securities and futures industry, finance and investment. He was an independent non-executive director of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited between 2000 and 2017 and was a non-official member of Financial Services Development Council. He is a Certified Public Accountant in California, USA.

Mr. Ho-Kin Li

Mr. Ho-Kin Li is a graduate of University of Manitoba, with a Bachelor of Environmental Studies in 1977 and a Master of Architecture in 1980. He also earned his Master of Business Administration from the University of Toronto in 1990. He is a Member of the Hong Kong Institute of Architects, a Registered Architect in Hong Kong, also a Retired Member of the Ontario Association of Architects.
He worked in private practice in Hong Kong for four years before joining KCRC as the in-house architect in 1984. In 1987, Mr. Li relocated to Toronto and worked in private practice for four years.
Returning to Hong Kong in 1991, he worked briefly at the Buildings Department before joining the Architectural Services Department (ArchSD) until his retirement in February 2013 as Chief Architect. Later, Mr. Li rejoined ArchSD on contract and retired for the second time in 2019.
Mr. Li started his service for CDNIS in July 1992, joining the Finance & Administration Committee, and subsequently various other committees – notably the Premises Committee. He spent most effort in the Premises Committees on issues related to the school’s various premises issues. He has been a Governor from 1993 to 2015; the School Supervisor from 1995 to 2000; Co-chair of the Board 1999-2000; and Member of Council from 2001 to date.

Mr. Kwan-In Li

Mr. Kwan-In Li was one of the 12 Members who founded CDNIS in 1991 and had served on the Board in its early years. He rejoined the Board as an ex-officio Governor representing the Members since 2013 and currently sits on the Admissions & Scholarship, Finance & Administration and Governance Committees. Born and raised in Hong Kong, Mr. Li obtained his Commerce degree in Montreal in 1979, qualified as a Chartered Accountant in Vancouver in 1985 and became a fellow member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants in 2000. Mr. Li has worked with international accounting firms (admitted as a partner of Ernst & Young Canada in 1991), garment manufacturing groups and a printing manufacturing group in Hong Kong and is currently a director of a Hong Kong private investment holding company. Mr. Li and his wife, Eleanor, have a daughter and a son.

Dr. Kennedy Liu

Dr. Kennedy Liu is a Certified Public Accountant, and holds Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) degrees. He was a partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), where he served 38 years, including 28 years as a partner. He was the leader of PwC’s Capital Markets Services in China (including mainland China and Hong Kong) and Asia-Pacific, and served on PwC China’s Management Board and Assurance Services Leadership Team and PwC Global’s Capital Markets Services Leadership Team.
Dr. Liu was the Chairman of the Board of Governors and the Supervisor of CDNIS. At present, he is the Vice-Chairperson of the Hong Kong Council of Social Service, a Council Member of The Education University of Hong Kong, among others. In the past, he also served as a Council Member of the City University of Hong Kong, a Council Member of the Vocational Training Council, a Court Member of the University of Hong Kong, among others.

Mrs. Maria Mui

Mrs. Maria Mui has been serving the CDNIS community for 30 years and is a Red Maple Leaf donor. She is currently a Council Member, and previously served as Governor and Member’s Representative. As Founder of the Special Events Committee, she was instrumental in helping CDNIS obtain and secure the Hong Kong Jockey Club grant in 1995, which formed an essential source of funding for the construction of the present school campus. She also chaired the Fundraising Committee and sat on the Curriculum Committee.
Mrs. Mui commenced her career as a banker and entrepreneur. She had held numerous prominent roles in the community, including Vice Chairperson of the McMaster University Hong Kong Foundation; Official Mentor at St. Paul’s Co-educational College; Chairperson at the Advisory Committee of Metro Mutual Aid Foundation; Honourary Advisor for Canadian University Association Hong Kong; Vice-President of St John’s Ambulance Brigade Y.W.C.A. Nursing Division; and Treasurer of Zonta Club of Hong Kong.
Mrs. Mui holds a BCom (Honours) degree from McMaster University’s DeGroote School of Business, where she graduated top of her class and received the E.H. Ambrose Gold Medal, and has an MBA from the University of Toronto.

Mr. Kenny Tam

Mr. Kenny Tam served eight years as Governor of CDNIS at its founding stage and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Concordia University and is a life member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario. He worked in PWC’s Montreal office and KPMG’s Toronto office before returning to Hong Kong. He is a fellow member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (“HKICPA”) and a Practicing Certified Public Accountant in his own CPA firm. He holds the Specialist Designation (Insolvency) granted by the HKICPA.

Mr. Tam is a Past Chairman of the Chinese Canadian Association of Hong Kong and a Past President of The Society of Chinese Accountants & Auditors. He has served in the Ethics Committee, Practice Review Committee, Small and Medium Practitioners Committee and Restructuring and Insolvency Faculty Executive Committee of the HKICPA.

Ms. Mary-Jean Wong

Ms. Mary-Jean Wong obtained a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Toronto, and a Master’s degree from Baptist University. Ms. Wong has served on the boards of Shenzhen listed companies and Hong Kong and Canadian companies since 1980 as Director and Supervisor. She was a delegate to The Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Shandong province, 10th to 12th intake.
Having returned to Hong Kong in 1989, she became involved in the planning stages for the concept of a Canadian curriculum school in Hong Kong. She was a Founding Member of the Canadian International School Foundation and on the Board of Governors 1992-1993. Presently she serves as a Council Member to address the educational aspirations of the international school community.
