The CDNIS Upper School welcomes students in Grades 6 to 12 into a vibrant, future-focussed learning community. The Upper School supports learners as they develop independence, confidence and the skills needed to thrive in university and beyond.

A defining feature of the Upper School is the intentional integration of two internationally recognises pathways: the Middle Years Programme, the Diploma Programme and the Ontario Secondary School Diploma. Together, these programmes form a powerful learning continuum that balances inquiry, academic rigour and personalised support.

CDNIS is the only school outside of Canada where students can graduate with both the Diploma Programme and the Ontario Secondary School Diploma. Some universities prefer the OSSD earned credits and final scores term by term rather than the Diploma Programme's predicted grades, with final Diploma Programme grades issued only in July after a student has completed their final year of study. In this way, the dual diploma gives students a distinct advantage when applying to top universities around the globe. Students who join CDNIS at any time from Grades 9-11 will have their transcript reviewed and are eligible for transfer credits.

CDNIS also offers comprehensive information on our IB Programmes and the Ontario Secondary School Diploma. Families can explore these programmes separately to gain a deeper understanding of the learning pathways and experiences that shape each student’s journey.
