Chinese New Year Celebrations - Join us as we welcome the Year of the Pig

The Year of 2019 is the Year of the Pig
It begins on February 5, 2019 and ends on February 24, 2020.

In Chinese astrology, each zodiac year (rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, sheep, monkey, rooster, dog and pig) is not just associated with an animal sign, but also one of five elements: Gold (Metal), Wood, Water, Fire, and Earth. The year of 2019 meets element of Earth, so 2019 is the Year of the Earth Pig.

CDNIS will welcome the Year of the Pig with some sensational flowers, music, performances, games and food. The festivities will feature a number of special cultural activities involving our students, teachers and parents.
