How does the Primary Years Programme support the joy of learning?
Date and time: Friday, January 15, 8:30am to 9:15am
Presenter: Steve Brown, CDNIS PYP Coordinator
As a school “united by the joy of learning” (CDNIS mission statement), the Lower School community fosters an environment and the conditions where students are motivated to learn. When approaches to learning such as inquiry, collaboration, and reflection occur in an environment where students have agency (voice and elements of choice in what they learn), the joy of learning can thrive in every learner. During this 45-minute interactive presentation, participants will learn about important aspects of creating joy in learning and how these are supported by the Lower School’s curriculum framework, the Primary Years Programme.
