A number of parents are not receiving their child's Google Classroom Guardian Email Summary and have reached out to OneDoor for assistance. Lower School parents are also invited to design lanterns with their children at home. Upper School students will write stories and riddles using traditional Chinese calligraphy and Chinese style comics. Details have been shared with students. Happy Mid-Autumn! 中秋快樂!

CDNIS turns 30 this year and we are looking forward to celebrating! Thank you to all those parents who answered our call in Flash last week to join our 30th Anniversary Committee - we will be in touch very soon. Working with the Parent Liaison Committee (PLC), the 30th Anniversary Committee will be rolling out a series of events focused on enriching the student experience. If you have any suggestions or would like to contribute, please email the 30th Anniversary Committee.

Parent Liaison Committee (PLC)

The Parent Liaison Committee (PLC) is a multi-stakeholder committee, comprised of Governors, Parents and School Administrators.  The PLC serves as a communication channel between parents and the Board of Governors. The PLC always welcomes constructive suggestions and recommendations from our parent community and ensures that strategic matters raised by parents are communicated appropriately to the Board. The PLC will receive correspondence via email at the following address: parentliaisoncommittee@cdnis.hk. Where and when appropriate, the PLC may direct correspondence to other relevant persons or groups for further consideration or action according to their roles and responsibilities. In order for the PLC to process the received comments effectively, please note that the PLC will only accept individual correspondence from parents through their official @CDNIS email accounts and will not entertain any petitions or anonymous communications.

Nurse's Office: CHP Seasonal Influenza Vaccination-Outreach Programme

CDNIS is hosting two seasonal flu vaccine clinics on campus for all interested students. EY students may attend on Saturday, October 9 from 8:30am-12:30pm in the LLAC Lobby. In line with social-distancing guidelines, one parent will be allowed to accompany their child. Parents will be required to fill in the Visitor Declaration Form closer to the day. A reminder the clinic for Prep to Grade 12 students will be set up on Friday, November 12. Dedicare Medical Centre is the service provider.

Nespresso Capsule Collection continues

After a successful spring launch, our capsule collection partnership with Nespresso will continue. Please bring to campus or send with your student your used Nespresso Capsule for collection and recycling. Special collection bins are located at the 9/F entrance and 8/F recycling area. In celebration of our 30th Anniversary, we will continue the program and expand our sustainability partnership with Nespresso. We look forward to sharing more details on our new initiatives soon.

Campus Visitor Policy

CDNIS has updated its policy for visitors who are invited onto campus. If you are invited to attend a meeting or another event on campus, please note that you will now need to complete the Visitor Health and Travel Declaration Form and provide proof of vaccination. If you are not fully vaccinated, proof of a COVID-negative test taken within 48 hours prior to arrival on campus will need to be shown before entry to campus will be permitted. The test must be a nasal and throat swab for COVID-19 nucleic acid test that is government approved. Self-testing kits are not acceptable.
