Nurse's Office: Covid Vaccination Documentation

Last week, a reminder was sent to those parents of children aged 12 and above who have not updated their child's vaccination records with the school. We need parents to submit this proof in order for us to continue reporting to the government our strong vaccination rates. If you received this email on September 30, please action it immediately. If you have any questions, contact the school nurse.

Term 1 ASA and Timba Swim: Registration System

Due to technical difficulties with our ASA registration system, we temporarily closed the system. While we anticipated the issue being fixed over the weekend and activating the registration system today, Veracross is still working on the issue. We will email all EY2 to Grade 8 parents once the registration system is up and running. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused. The enrollment period will be extended and parents can still view the Term 1 ASA brochure by clicking here. Activities will run from Tuesday, October 19 until Wednesday, December 15. For general ASA enquiries please email activities@cdnis.edu.hk, for swimming enquiries email timbaswim@cdnis.edu.hk.

No School - Mid-Term Break and PLD

Just a reminder there is no school for students from Monday, October 11 to Monday, October 18 (Mid-Term Break and Professional Learning Day). Please mark these dates on your calendar.

EDB Student Grant Forms

Pre-printed EDB student grant forms were distributed to all students last week. Parents are asked to check the appropriate boxes and sign the form before returning it to the school. LS students may pass their forms to their homeroom teachers and US students are asked to drop forms off in the main office. Parents are encouraged to return completed forms before the Mid-Term break, but have until Friday, October 22 to return them to the school. Forms cannot be accepted via email or fax. Further details are available on the EDB website, while parents may also find this video and list of bank codes useful.

Halloween

No one does Halloween like CDNIS. This year, we will celebrate Halloween on Friday, October 29. All students are encouraged to come to school in a costume as long as it does not prevent them from participating in regular school activities. Lots of fun activities are being planned for this year from costume competitions to special Halloween treats. Watch this space for more details after Mid-Term Break.

Happy Canadian Thanksgiving

In honour of Canadian Thanksgiving (Monday, October 11), students have been asked to decorate a paper maple leaf in their homeroom and write what they are thankful for. The leaves will be displayed in the 9/F lobby until Halloween and we will also share photos of the fall colours on Facebook and Instagram

Campus Visitor Policy

CDNIS has updated its policy for visitors who are invited onto campus. If you are invited to attend a meeting or another event on campus, please note that you will now need to complete the Visitor Health and Travel Declaration Form and provide proof of vaccination. If you are not fully vaccinated, proof of a COVID-negative test taken within 48 hours prior to arrival on campus will need to be shown before entry to campus will be permitted. The test must be a nasal and throat swab for COVID-19 nucleic acid test that is government approved. Self-testing kits are not acceptable.
