School Uniforms
The CDNIS Uniform Shop will once again relocate all services to the small gym (August 13-17). Opening times will be August 13-15 @ 10am-4pm and August 16-17 @ 8am-4pm. Students will be able to try on and purchase items in the small gym during this time. The Uniform Shop will return to its 5/F location on August 20. As the majority of parents purchase uniforms during the Lower School Open House, please stop by and purchase uniform items a few days earlier if possible to avoid the last minute rush. Payment can be made by cash, cheque and EPS.
School Bus - Kwoon Chung Bus
Parents who have successfully completed the online registration with KCM before June 30 should have received confirmation from KCM about their child's bus stop and time of pick-up/drop-off in late July. For late registration, or any other questions regarding the school bus service, please visit the KCM website. Please also take a moment to read a letter about bussing which will be sent to all parents later this week, as it contains important details about the new swipe card system and the two working day notice period to switch buses.

Alumni Summer Homecoming
Do you know anyone who used to study at CDNIS? We would love to catch up with them during Summer Homecoming 2018 on Sunday, August 19 from 12:30pm-4pm. This is a great opportunity to network, connect with friends, and hear about exciting initiatives happening at our school. The family-friendly event will feature games, a school tour, food and drinks. CDNIS merchandise will also be available for purchase. To learn more or to RSVP, please visit the main school website.
CIS and WASC Accreditation - We did it!
During the summer break, CDNIS was awarded full accreditation status by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) with immediate effect. Obtaining the CIS and WASC accreditation certifies that CDNIS students are given an education that meets the most stringent international quality standards. Congratulations to everyone who was a part of the process.

No School - have you marked your calendar?
Just a reminder there is no school for students on Tuesday, September 25 (Day after Mid-Autumn Festival), Monday, October 1 (National Day of PRC) and the Mid Term Break takes place October 15-19, while Monday, October 22 is a Professional Development Day for staff. Please mark these dates on your calendar. The full school calendar is also available in the Parent Handbook and on the main school website.
Traffic and Safety
We work hard to make CDNIS a safe environment. Since there is no public parking at CDNIS and no parking along Nam Long Shan Road, we encourage students/parents to use the school bus. If you are driving to school, please follow the directions of our security guards. Lower School students get dropped @ 9/F entrance, Upper School students/taxis @ LLAC.
Privacy Policy
CDNIS regularly reviews its privacy policy to comply with changes in privacy laws around the world. In June, Europe's new General Data Protection Regulation went into effect. Although it only applies to data of persons who are in the EU, the global nature of the internet means that every online service will be affected. As part of our commitment to privacy and transparency, the school regularly reviews our privacy policy to determine whether any updates are required in light of this new regulation. Our privacy policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, who we may disclose it to, and your rights regarding your personal data. Please contact our Director of Business Administration, Mr. Peter Wong, if you have any questions.
Shuttle Bus Service Refunds
Due to the low ridership of the shuttle bus service between the Wong Chuk Hang MTR station and CDNIS, the service was suspended at the end of the 2017/2018 school year. A refund will be available for all un-used shuttle bus tickets until Friday, August 31. Please bring your un-used tickets to the 9/F office for a refund.
