The Stanley Cup visits Canadian International School of Hong Kong
Hockey fans at Canadian International School of Hong Kong were excited to meet hockey’s holy grail.
On Wednesday, September 12, more than 2,000 students, staff and parents had the unique privilege of seeing the most famous trophy in sports up close and personal, as the National Hockey Leagues prized trophy, the Stanley Cup, paid a visit to the Canadian International School of Hong Kong (CDNIS). The visit is part of the NHL’s tour of the region, which will also include exhibition games in Shenzhen and Beijing between the Calgary Flames and Boston Bruins.
Lord Stanley’s priceless trophy was accompanied by Hockey Hall of Fame curator Phil Pritchard, better known in hockey circles as the “Keeper of the Cup,” and Alex Tanguay, member of the 2001 Stanley Cup championship team, the Colorado Avalanche.
