Project Innovate: Cultivating a Creative Learning Culture
Canadian International School of Hong Kong has been pushing the boundaries of innovation since it was established in 1991, being one of the first Apple Distinguished Schools in the region 10 years ago, and implementing the first one-to-one student laptop programme in Hong Kong. Since then, an exceptional culture of innovation has flourished at the school, across all areas of learning. Learn all about Project Innovate, a brand new school-wide initiative that focuses on providing future-ready learning, to ensure that students have the skills, dispositions and mindsets they need to adapt to our fast-changing world.

Mr. David Baird, Interim Head of School
Mr. Baird is an experienced academic leader with over 30 years of experience, with the majority of his career spent in international schools in Africa, Canada, China, Vietnam, and Thailand. Mr. Baird is passionate about education and has spent much of his working life helping to further global understanding and internationalism.
Mr. Baird will be on-site from 9:30am-12pm to answer prospective parent questions. The CDNIS Booth is located at #62-#63.
Ms. Penny Pan, Director of Chinese Studies
For more than 20 years, Ms. Pan has taught Chinese in international schools in Australia, China and Hong Kong, and has worked with international students from K-12 within IB, AP, British, Canadian and Australian curriculum frameworks.
Ms. Pan will be on-site from 9:30am-4pm to answer prospective parent questions. The CDNIS Booth is located at #62-#63.
Ms. Emily Pong, Head of Admissions
Since 1993, Ms. Emily Pong has directed the school’s Admissions Department and has worked collaboratively with various stakeholders in meeting the school’s well-defined admissions targets. Her book “Sharing with You” was published in 2016 and served to commemorate the school’s great success.
Ms. Pong and her Admissions Team will be on-site to answer prospective parent questions for the entire event from 9:30am-4pm. The CDNIS Booth is located at #62-#63.
