Shelter Drill on November 16 @ 8:25am

Ahead of our CIS visit, we have been increasing our security protocols at the school. On Thursday, November 16 at 8:25am, the school will hold a Shelter Drill. This protocol is initiated when a situation requires the isolation of students/staff/visitors and will involve everyone who is on campus. Any visitors who are on campus during the Shelter Drill will need to take part. Please note no one will be allowed to enter/exit the campus during the Shelter Drill, which will last for approximately 45 minutes to one hour. Details about the Shelter Drill are in this letter from HOS David Baird.

ID Badges

Please remember that all non-student members of the CDNIS community are required to present a CDNIS ID Badge when entering the campus and must wear the badge at all times on campus with an official lanyard. Parents/Guardians who forget their cards will be required to sign in as visitors. Any guardians who still need to have their photo taken, can stop by the 9/F office on Friday, November 17 from 2pm-3:30pm. Families which require a guardian badge must fill out this form before their guardian has their photo taken. Parents can have their photo taken in the library for their pass.

Update Following IB Visit

Last week, CDNIS hosted six visitors from the IB for a visit to review our teaching and learning. This visit was part of an important year of reflection and growth for CDNIS  as we complete both the IB Evaluation and an initial CIS/WASC Accreditation. For more information about where we are in both of these processes, see this letter from Jon Adams.
