Reaching Out, Touching Lives

The foundation of any successful school is the close bond shared between students and teachers. With their commitment of learning from one another and a passion for making a difference, the CDNIS family is achieving excellence all around the world! The CDNIS family is known for its strong community bond - so strong in fact, that they never want to leave! Many former students give back to the school in various ways including volunteering their time to mentor current students, participate as special guest speakers at school events, sit as Committee or Board Members, while some return to teach. This week we meet the students who are now proud members of our world-class faculty.

HOS Search: Parent Listening Sessions

On Friday, the Search Committee emailed all parents updating them on the search for the permanent Head of School (HOS). As the Board communicated in December, the Board began by assembling a Search Committee to oversee this process and selected a Search Consultant, Triangle Associates/HeadsUp, to work with us. This is the same Search Consultant that worked with us on our Interim Head search and knows our community intimately. Please take a moment to read the letter which includes details about the listening/input sessions. There will also be an online survey after CNY for those of you unable to attend a session. Please contact the Search Committee with questions.

CDNIS on Instagram

We are now on Instagram! Are you? Check CDNIS out on Instagram and share any pictures you may take around our campus. Use the hashtag #cdnishk or #cdnisls. We'd love to see what our students, staff and parents are doing at school events, in classes, on the court, on the field, on the stage, and anywhere else the CDNIS community is active. You can also check us out on FacebookTwitter and YouTube.

Student Letter of Recommendation Requests

The process for letters of recommendations can be found on pages 51-52 of the Parent Handbook. The policy, finalized at the end of last year, is that the letters of recommendation are processed through our Guidance Counselors. Our school has a designated form for such purposes and it is our practice that no other form will be submitted on behalf of students. Please review the information in the handbook.
